St Andrew’s Group - Identity Care

The Client
St Andrew’s Group, a member company of HBOS, has been underwriting payment protection products for personal and business customers since 1996. Most of St Andrew’s products are sold via their corporate clients such as banks, building societies and finance houses.

The Objective
St Andrew’s have recently launched a new brand insurance known as ‘Identity Care’ and needed a web fulfilment channel to support it.

Identity theft occurs when someone steals your personal information to use on his or her behalf, to open bank accounts, obtains payments, credit or fraudulently obtain benefits, goods and services.

In response to this threat St Andrew’s Group has created Identity Care. For a monthly premium, the Identity Care service provides benefits such as credit report monitoring services and money towards legal expenses.

St Andrew’s required a web application to promote Identity Care and enable customers to purchase their policies online.

The Solution
Morpheus has worked with St Andrew’s to create the Identity Care web site.

The site enables customers to obtain personalised quotes dynamically, by entering a range of demographics that are matched against a list of products and prices. If users are accessing via another partner site, they will have the opportunity to enter a promotional code to obtain a special price.

Users then have the option to take out the insurance protection by credit card or set up a direct debit mandate online, via a secure, encrypted process.

Once a policy has been purchased, a user receives a confirmation email with their policy tracking number.

Morpheus has created an extract procedure that collates customer purchasing information and sends it securely, using encryption technology, at regular times throughout the day.
